"Exquisite" pretty much sums up everything I've eaten and bought from here. And the staff are the loveliest people. So glad I live nearby. If you don't, definitely come to Park Slope to check them out!
MoreGreat food, friendly safety conscious staff, and great outdoor heaters and lighting for winter dinners outside.
MoreThe food is incredible, and everyone who works there is so nice! I always get the cacio e pepe and add prosciutto bits.
MoreThis was our first time dining - and definitely not our last! While yes it’s winter, and yes, it’s cold, my wife and I had an amazing time! Our server was very informative and walked us through the menu, his favorites, and helped us through the wine list as well. We tried their tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons and the ricotta appetizer - paired that with two pastas. We’ll most likely be back this weekend for breakfast - possibly even dinner :) Really happy this place opened up close by and is doing well in these trying times. Stop by if you’re in the area and you definitely won’t be disappointed!
MoreIt great
Pasta Louisa Baby....
Such yummy food! Haven’t been in person yet but we’ve done pasta kits a few times and they’re such a great deal. Happy to have them in the neighborhood!
MoreFantastic spot with the best pasta I’ve ever had! Their cacio e pepe lives in my mind rent-free. My only criticism is that I wished they offered more sauces with meat!
MoreA wonderful addition to the neighborhood. The ingredients are fresh and the pasta made daily. And while I've only had a lunch and a dinner here, everything seems to be made with love. You can tell that Pasta Louise cares about their patrons and the community.
MoreGreat service, amazing pasta. Can't wait to come back and try some other dishes! ?
MoreThe food was absolutely delicious (get the cacio e pepe pasta), wine was on point, and the staff couldn't have been nicer. So happy I live so close to this place. We'll be back for sure!!
MoreMade us move table after we were seated.
Went out for dinner at Pasta Louise with my husband and our two friends. We arrived at 8:22pm and was told we would be put on the waitlist and it would be up to 45 minutes for a table. We were sure to ask if we would be seated if we waited? But that was not the case when we returned 45 minutes later. Instead of being told earlier that they would be unable to seat us, they waited until we arrived to let us know. At the time it was almost 9:30 and having the opportunity to eat out anywhere else in the area wasn’t possible with the 10pm dining curfew. What was to be a great night turned to out to be an unfortunate miss. Having had just eaten at Pasta Louise a month before, and had such an amazing experience. This truly left a bad taste in my mouth.
MoreHeard about the lasagna so I had to try it. Suffices to say, I'll be going back often. Second only to my wife's lasagna. Maybe they'll even introduce a version with meat! ?
MoreTalk about a great neighborhood spot - seriously! The pasta is amazing and so is the friendly staff - I trek all the way to Park Slope from Midtown Manhattan just for the pasta! It is so fresh and the sauce choices are to die for! I also love that the restaurant has a scholarship fund and they make a point to give back to the community, such a great place! The owners are always at the restaurant and interacting with their guests. The outdoor dining situation is superb and I feel 100% comfortable dining there. If you are looking for more of a take out option - they have pasta kits to-go which are so reasonably priced and most include a bottle of wine, great for date night! If you live anywhere in the five boroughs you need to visit Pasta Louise!
MoreFantastic restaurant with great food (the pasta is homemade)! They have many types of dishes and I highly recommend trying their ice cream (yes, even if it’s winter). Finally, while enjoying your gourmet meal, you don’t have to worry about freezing thanks to the heaters they installed!
MoreConsistently excellent food and service. My partner and I love Stopping in for a coffee and banana bread on our Tuesdays. My partner doesn’t like bananas, but she LOVES their banana bread especially with the salted caramel sauce. I strongly Recommend their specialty coffees “the secret agent” is my favorite; a perfect balance of spiced chocolate and coffee and just a bit of sugar. Their pasta of course is to die for. Their sauce and meatballs reminds me of my Italian Papa’s. I Brought my mom there for her birthday. She’s a tough sell. She was very pleased with her lasagna. I Look forward to more outings there with family and friends.
MoreI had such high hopes for Pasta Louise. Tonight, I went for the second time. I went for the first time a few weeks ago, and although the wait was much longer than the host had informed me it would be, I just decided to wait it out because I was so excited to try the food. This time around, the wait and service was x10 worse. I generally don't post reviews about restaurants, but this was so egregious that I feel that I need to say something. Initially, I was told that the wait time would be 30 mins. An hour and 5 mins later, I was still waiting. I spoke to the hostess, and she said my table was up next. Low and behold, two minutes later, another table was seated before me. Evidently, the hostess blatantly lied. I held my tongue, however. Ten minutes after that, the hostess finally came up to me and said that me table was ready. I was a party of three, and this so-called "table" was a tiny two-top with a third chair stuck on the end- certainly not a desirable eating location. There was another, legitimate three-top clearing at the same time, so I asked for that table. I would not consider this an unreasonable request. The hostess then informed me that I could not have that table because she already promised it to someone else, even though this person was behind me in the waiting list. At this point, it's safe to say I was annoyed. As a 17-year-old girl, I'm used to getting taken advantage of- I'm often given the worst table in restaurants because the staff thinks I won't stick up for myself. Pasta Louise, though, was undoubtedly the situation in which I found myself to be most taken advantage of. When I informed the hostess of this, instead of apologizing, she just got defensive. I ended up walking away and having a delicious meal at Provini, just down the street, with excellent service. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Pasta Louise.
MoreFresh pasta works, especially here. Helpful staff ,good service . Been wanting to stop by. Sometimes things just work out. I had the lunch pasta which was very flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfect. Had the focaccia, really enjoyed the house ricotta. Also tried the lasagna. Reminded of lunch in Padova . Cant say no to soft serve ....for the finish. Definitely good to see people eating pasta again ...... Auguri
MoreNot great
Great food and service!
THE NICEST STAFF EVER! Well worth the wait. The food is delicious and will make you feel so at home. And don’t get me started on the wine selection and ice cream. It’s pretty much heaven.
MoreThe food was not that great. The service was nice and friendly! The softserv ice cream was icey not smooth. The ambiance is nice, but the food was just average.
MoreKind, attentive staff; delicious food; and a warm atmosphere :)
Great food! Love the pasta meals to-go. Wonderful salads. A superb addition to the neighborhood. Try the affogato!
MoreSimply Amazing!
This place is a really great addition to the neighborhood! It's a good spot for small lunch bites, an Italian dinner, or just to sit outside for a cup of coffee before the weather turns. The service and food are both good, and features homemade pasta, sauce, and focaccia, which you can also buy as a kit to make at home (comes with a bottle of wine, too). They've also been great for the community, launching a raffle to benefit a local fundraiser. Plus the place is named for the owner's grandmother, who taught her how to cook — doesn't get any more neighborhood-y than that! Five stars.
MoreWarm environment, kind and attentive service, and the food is wonderful!!!
Sooo happy to have this place in the neighborhood! The service is amazing and the pasta is the best we’ve ever had! Thank you for being so patient with us in the cold - we will definitely be back.
MoreIncredible food and wonderful people. We took home a meal and can’t wait to do it again! Fair price. Really excited to have them in the neighborhood
MoreFor being a little local family pasta place, this place packs a flavor punch! In the short time they've been open, they've shown how amazing their homemade pasta is. Be sure to get the extra toppings like burrata and bread crumbs. The locals have caught on how good it is, so be prepared for a little wait for dinner, but it's worth it. Extremely family friendly and the staff are top notch. You can order pasta to go, or have outdoor dining. They have a nice setup for outdoor eating. Their soft serve ice cream is really good, too, be it vanilla with olive oil, or mint affogato.
MoreNice outdoor atmosphere, friendly staff! The food is good and straightforward, although it didn’t blow my mind. The pasta portions are small but worked for me as a single meal- if you have a big appetite or want leftovers I’d recommend getting a side or starter. I got the spicy red pesto- the only nondairy option on the menu- and i liked it! I think they could increase the heat level though, it was very mild. I didn’t try dessert but my friends enjoyed theirs. I had the Montepulciano (red wine), and I don’t recommend it. I found it unpleasant—no real flavor notes, slightly spicy and high acidity with a little acrid aftertaste even after breathing for the entire meal. Try the next one up if you’re looking for a cheap wine accompaniment.
MoreBest pasta I've had in a while. I went inside to get some to go
This is an AMAZING addition to the neighborhood! I have stopped by for take-home fresh pasta, coffee and the homemade soft-serve ice cream (all of which have been delicious), but I decided to eat there on a Saturday and got the weekend special, which was pasta with a kale-cauliflower pesto. I was in heaven. It was soooo good. Staff is really friendly and sitting outside on a weekend afternoon just felt so nice and neighborhoody. Definitely recommend!
MoreHad their fresh bucatini, meatball sauce, cream of pumpkin soup, and beet spinach pesto salad. All items are excellent! One of the best Italian in NYC!!!
MoreReally had a wonderful time tonight. Very decent meal. Decent pasta, Greta arugula salad. Beer is a little warm but service was great and ambience was fantastic. Glad places like this are still Going!
MoreThe ice cream sundae alone. What a treat.
I just found it confusing that a place with pasta in the name didn't have one pasta on the menu during lunch. My soup was good but I wanted pasta and thought there would be some available at a place with pasta in the name.
MoreIncredibly fresh, delicious pasta!
Red pepper sauce delicious, and fresh pasta is very good but definitely in NO WAY are they social distancing with their outdoor seating. Please comply with city / state regulations!
MoreCannot say enough good things about this place. Great pasta (both dining in and the pasta kits to go). The frittata sandwiches and coffee options are incredible. I generally do not like banana bread but wow, theirs is fantastic especially with the salted caramel sauce. Top it all off with a very friendly staff - you can't beat it.
MoreExtremely good fresh pasta. Also, extremely good lasagna.
Omg! Pasta heaven on earth. Park slope isn’t lacking good pasta but this is just extraordinary. It’s a simple menu but they make one kind of pasta fresh every day. We got the lasagna and pasta with pecorino and spicy crispy prosciutto and both were 10/10. Beautiful texture and flavor. The lasagna isn’t the typical thing with tomato sauce and ground meat. It’s so fresh and it sparkles in your mouth!!! Get the ORANGE WINE. The place has got a very cute vibe and very child friendly.
MoreDelicious food and lovely service in a nice outdoor setting. The pasta is perfect, salads are fresh, and ice cream is light and tasty. We will be back again soon!
MoreAn absolute gem!! Dined with friends and every bite of the appetizer, fresh pasta dishes and ice cream sundaes was delish! All the servers and the owner, who named her resto for her Grandma Louise, were extremely courteous and professional in their service! They have pasta kits for busy families to take home and whip up quickly! Highly recommended!!!
MoreGood food. Nice and friendly waitstaff.
Great food ,which you had pasta before 5pm for lunchtime. Maybe soon? Hope so we will be back.
MoreAmazing food and great service, we will be back very soon
Amazing!
Wonderful pasta and great service. A welcome addition to the neighborhood!
